crickets

the onslaught of %%red%%heat%% for may has begun to ease and we have been treated to some wonderful thunderstorms in the evenings. today it is set to rain for most of the day. the mountainside has turned from its standard dusty brown to a deep green.

we checked the bee boxes yesterday for disease and pests. nothing! %%green%%our bees are healthy and happy%%. %%yellow%%we will harvest honey next week%%, and set up our third and fourth boxes that we have cleaned and prepared.

we haven't had as much time for the garden as we would like, but we planted some grape vines to see how they will do. i also haven't found time to start setting up the printshop. i have the tables ready, but i need to find a better solution for keeping dust away from the duplo and photo quality inkjet printers, and find better storage for my letterpress type.

things will get done in time, we aren't stressed. just enjoying life and friends, enjoying cooking, eating, and drinking.

last night we got stuck in a thunderstorm and were forced to go into a bar and have some nice cocktails to wait out the storm. we tried some gin from the cañada region of oaxaca. really tasty. we were out to buy me some clothes for a wedding this weekend. looking forward to that!

on the digital front, things are slow and quiet except at work. i am tweaking my mapping scripts to produce more streamlined and simplified leaflet maps testing out new base maps and styles. other than that my digital life: crickets.
