%%red%%we have found a few leaks in our roofs%%. no! the house is a little old, yes. it turns out the underlayment below our tiles in a few sections is no longer effective. %%green%%the good news is that we can patch these sections fairly easily%%. the bad news is, we are still struggling to save some pesos to invest back into all of these little projects.
it is more likely we will fix these sorts of issues before the next rainy season and we will have to make due and hack together a couple of temporary fixes for this one such utilizing tarps to minimize the amount of rain on the roof. %%yellow%%thankfully, between the rains it is typically so dry and hot we don't have to worry much about wood rot%%, but we are still keeping our eye on it.
we are still a little worried, as hurricane season has just begun and this is set to be a horrible one which means plenty of rain in the valley. rain is good, rain is life, but it won't make things especially comfortable for us until we can find a way to fix the issue.
