my colour scheme
i have based the robotamerica colour scheme / theme off of one dark (specifically onedark.nvim). i use variations of this theme accross my workspaces (cli, nvim, slack, vscode, browser, etc.). i do so because %%yellow%%i find it easy on the eyes%%, and %%green%%i have always wanted to build a consistent theme across all of my working environments%%, which i have found helps prevent the cognitive overload caused by poor design decisions made by others. though, %%red%%you may think i have made a poor design decision%%. fair enough.
beside the cognitive load improvements, i just like the theme and its colours. they suit me. i love the way the theme clothes robotamerica and will do my best to stick with it. i like the ability to quickly add %%red%%s%%%%orange%%p%%%%yellow%%l%%%%green%%a%%%%cyan%%s%%%%blue%%h%%%%purple%%e%%%%red%%s%% %%orange%%o%%%%yellow%%f%% %%green%%c%%%%cyan%%o%%%%blue%%l%%%%purple%%o%%%%red%%u%%%%orange%%r%% for emphasis in my writing, adding layers of meaning.
building a consistent theme takes a bit of work, but i think it is worth it. i love seeing people express themselves through colour and design decisions. that is what makes the open web so fun. whether simple or elaborate, we all get space to express ourselves. so %%green%%let's rock it out and add some style to this place%%.
if you like the onedark.nvim theme, feel free to borrow some aspects:
