the past was an egg, we lost better futures
as common place as complacency, %%red%%capital had stolen our better futures%%. techtopia be damned, we need %%green%%ecotopia%%. i am a little sad as i type this log on a propriety computer that i barely own and have no real right to repair and maintain.
%%yellow%%the 21st century is planned obsolescence%%. %%purple%%we are destroying the environment and our communities at increasing rates,%% %%green%%when we should be destroying the governments, corporations, and greedy bastards who are tearing us apart%%. no, democracy doesn't exist: representative democracy is a sham. we are stuck in an endless loop of consumption. we are in a jam here.
the past was an %%yellow%%egg%%, we lost better futures. collective action was snuffed out by greater opinion and false moralities. %%orange%%at so many points in history%%, %%blue%%we almost had something%%. but we lost better futures. yet, we will continue to fight this losing battle, why? because when life gives you eggs, you make banging omelettes!
🙋🏽♂️ on a personal and lighter note, i am so very much looking forward to the summer. workshops galore, a bit of work, a bit of gardening, a bit of printmaking, harvesting honey, making fun fermented things. ah, living the dream betwixt nightmarish flashes of our global realities. let's make the summer of 2026 a revolutionary one spent weaving and strengthening family and community ties. getting out there and being present. singing songs, drinking drinks, eating eats, and feeling the feels ... here we go.
