robotamerica

tired body, tired mind

we moved yesterday. after four years of accumulating things for our little art gallery in xalapa, we realised we had become pack rats. too late, the moving truck came, and we helped pack. we arrived and though we already knew it, we realised how much smaller our new house is.

we moved all our stuff into the new space. today we will unpack a little—though all i want to do is to drink beers in the garden. i moved my printshop into an old lean-to with a tall roof on the other side of the property. i will have to build some walls or use very large clear curtains or panels to protect my type and equipment from the dust.

we are living the campo life again and it will take a bit to readjust to. so far, i am just tired from the move. prioity is to unpack the office and set up my desk. at least i have until wednesday, when i return to work, to get this done.

moving is exciting, but oh so tiring. not to mention super expensive ...

📝 wrote this on our fancy satellite internet, i don't want to support dusky musky, but it was our only choice while living and working from here in our rural spot. we did apply for telmex to bring us some fiber optic, but that is months maybe years down the line. when that happens, we will happily switch.
