vibing on the open web
a large part of %%green%%escaping%% %%red%%algorithmic dumping grounds%% is %%blue%%becoming an explorer%%. %%purple%%exploration is one of the funnest parts of the open web%%. i try my best to find at least one new site or space a day. this exploratory curiosity has given me an optimistic pov of a much more resilient open web than i would have suspected only a few years ago.
we are really doing it y'all! %%green%%we are keeping the open web alive%%. every silly little blog post, personal website, wiki edit, webring, piece of art shared, etc. is keeping the web open. sure, %%yellow%%it might be getting a little harder to explore%%, but we have gotten great at providing one another with essential trail markers. a large part of the open web is giving each other ways to find one another. %%green%%after all, it is about sharing and sharing is caring%%.
yes, i still have some social media, but i use it far far far less than ever. social media no longer excites me, although i still feel there is potential in it (albeit slim in the current economic climate). %%green%%what excites me now, and has for the past 30 years, is the possibilities of and for the open web%%. there is so much cool stuff out there, to this day! all you have to do is explore a little.
